What does your dream look like?

Everyone has their own idea of what success means to them. For some, it’s about financial security, a mortgage-free life and pension provisions for the future. For others, it’s about having the flexibility to spend time with their families, enjoy hobbies and make the most of the here and now.

Expense Reduction Analysts UK (ERA UK) Franchise Partners are no different when it comes to having a myriad of reasons for investing in the multi-award-wining franchise. Over the last 20 years, ambitious professionals from all walks of life have been able to realise dreams and achieve goals that, before deciding to join the ERA UK family, they hadn’t even thought possible.

Take Andrew Kinnear, who launched his franchise in 2013 after deciding that it was ‘now or never’ to become his own boss. Whilst his annual targets included some pretty impressive financial and operational goals, his long-term grand plan was even more aspirational.

“I’ve always dreamed of owning a second property in the South of France and being able to spend half the year there. One of the benefits of ERA UK is that I can do much of my work from almost anywhere so this really would be a dream-scenario for me and my family,” explained Andrew after being awarded ‘Newcomer of the Year’ by ERA UK in 2015.

Just two years on from that moment and, thanks to his hard work and dedication, Andrew’s dream-scenario has become a reality!

“It was actually a goal of mine to own a house in France since the moment I joined. I remember telling my trainer at the ERA UK Academy on day one. And last month, I bought it! It’s brilliant because next year, I’ll be spending up to three months over there and then progressively more time in the years to come. The beauty of ERA UK is the freedom and flexibility that it gives you; the business goes where I go, so I can work from anywhere. Don’t get me wrong, I won’t be sitting with my feet up for three months, I’ll be working as hard as ever – but with a view, the sun and my own pool!”

Perhaps you have aspirations closer to home, like Andrew Beer. Another Franchise Partner who, like Andrew Kinnear, saw his dreams of business ownership being as much about lifestyle as finances.

After years working in London, work/life balance was something that Andrew was keen to achieve from day one with his new business. His two young children were both under the age of three when he launched his franchise in 2013, and so, working from home and being more of a hands-on parent was a top priority. It’s something Andrew is proud to say he’s achieved and, what’s more, it’s meant that his wife can pursue her own business aspirations too!

“The best thing about this business is the flexibility and being in a situation where we can run two businesses. My wife runs her own HR recruitment company and if i was still working in the city or even had a 9-5 job, I don’t think my wife would be able to run her business. I see far more of my kids than I’m sure most fathers do – I take them to school and can organise my days around their routine. Financially, my wife and I are both earning now and the payoff comes in other, frankly more important areas – like spending time with my family. I’m proud to say I have a less stressful, healthier and more balanced lifestyle – all since joining ERA UK!”

Redundancy can leave even the most confident of people feeling vulnerable. And that’s exactly how Neil Cullen felt after a 16-year long career in engineering came to an abrupt end. Approaching the age of 40, Neil was determined to take control over his future once and for all by investing in an ERA UK franchise. He launched his business in 1996 and hasn’t looked back since – the professional and financial security he craved is now firmly within his control.

“In all honesty, probably what makes me the proudest is just the fact that I’ve worked hard and made a success of my business. And that success has enabled me to earn more than I ever would have done in engineering. If not for ERA UK, I’d be sat at a desk-job, day in, day out, same old drudge of driving to and from work but now… well, the sky continues to be the limit,”

“ERA UK has enabled me to do things both for myself and my family that I wouldn’t have been able to on my own. A property in Florida, a beautiful home and I’m virtually mortgage free. When the time comes for me to retire from ERA UK, I won’t have any regrets,” says Neil.

Financial security is a powerful motivator for many and, for Steve Stringer, it’s been the driving force for his considerable success. Steve launched his business in April 2016 and, in less than two years, he’s become a go-to expert in his field, well respected by his fellow Franchise Partners and clients alike. Thanks to his hard-work, he’s currently reviewing a multi-million-pound portfolio of projects and is confident that his goal of a financially secure future for himself, and his young family, is well and truly on the horizon.

“I want to be in a place where everything’s paid for – the house is paid off and there’s enough in the pension pot that my future is secure. Then, when I want to wind down I can do so on my terms. Security in the future is the goal and I can see me getting there now. It’s been a lot of hard work getting to this point but I can firmly see the path laid out in front of me now. And as I plan for my future, it’s in terms that I would never have dreamed of before. To think I could earn three times what I did in my previous career and secure my family’s future makes the hard work worthwhile.”

No matter the dream or the reason for joining the ERA UK network, one thing remains constant: a Franchisor who is utterly committed to supporting each and every Franchise Partner to achieve their own idea of success. And so, the only thing left to ask is; ‘what does your dream look like?’
